Audio Engineering Society at City University of London
We will be providing members of City Audio Engineering Society (CAES) who show consistent commitment and passion an Audio Engineering Society (https://aes2.org) yearly student membership (valued $50USD).
AES membership gives exclusive, full access to fundamental, educational, inspirational and cutting-edge information, spanning all audio knowledge.
Including the following benefits: - Free software and discounts from leading companies. - Eligible to apply for AES Educational Foundation grants. - Discounted registration for AES Events. - Access to AES Live library of ~500 videos. - Access to 20,000+ papers in AES E-Library.
Also, we will be setting up a Student Group with AES which will allow us the potential to travel to the Madrid Convention AES June 2024, and also New York AES Convention October 2024.
In addition we will have the opportunity to invite industry guest speakers from the Distinguished Speakers Programme (DSP) to give technical presentations as part of their touring roster.
As a subdivision of the society we will be running events for Women in Audio which will consist of speakers coming to the university to informally discuss their experiences in the industry. We will also run informal social events where we can come together as women to connect and to discuss experiences in a safe and non-judgemental space.
In the purpose of empowering women in a practical and skill-based way, providing opportunities and growing a supportive network. We welcome all that identify as women including non-binary people.
