Priorities
Hi Guys, It's Zeeshan Nauman Raees, I'm a penultimate year BSc Accounting & Finance student currently working at ScottishPower in Glasgow. I'm originally from Karachi, Pakistan with my roots spreading to Delhi, India. My hobbies involve playing cricket, exercising, meditating, and singing. I love to lead with a positive mindset!
Student Communities & Events (Student Societies and Sports)
There are many societies but very few have organised the events that the student body really wants. I would want the societies to hold a referendum every month with top 2 voted events taking place. This will create a sense of belonging towards societies, and I expect many of them to grow this way.
Accommodation & Housing
Most international students find accommodation very expensive. An average studio in London costs around £400 p/w. I would want the university to aid the students something towards their accommodation. It will ease the pressure from current and will create opportunities for prospective students.
Education and Academic Priorities
There are various students with strong academic background that have struggled to perform as they couldn't adapt to the teaching style. I aim to bring changes to the teaching methodology by communicating with the Course Director so the lectures can be aided by use of applications like Good Notes.
