City Actuarial Society or CAS in short was founded in 2007 with a strong initiative to promote understanding of this highly respectable yet unheard profession. It was formed under the permission of City University Student’s Union. Its aim was to promote the actuarial profession among the students at Cass Business School and City University London. We also offer comprehensive analysis of current issues surrounding insurance, pensions and investment from an actuarial point of view.

Our objectives:

• To create opportunities for members to get insight into the actuarial field.

• To create networking opportunities for members to meet others who share an interest in actuarial science
• To arrange seminars, speaker events and activities for members
