It is true that simply passing your exams and getting a law degree is just the start. Areas such as digitisation and automation mean that legal knowledge is simply the baseline to preparing you for a successful career. The legal profession is being transformed faster than ever before with the use of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. For example, technology and innovation lie at the heart of the £1 billion English and Welsh court reform programme. Currently every major law firm such as Baker McKenzie, Slaughter and May, Clifford Chance and DWF (to name a few) are investing heavily in order to be at the forefront of innovation and legal technology or as they like to say to be “game changers”. Therefore, the aim of this society is to promote and educate students on legal technology in order to best prepare them for the ever changing legal profession. We want to create new and exciting events surrounding legal tech and bring new opportunities to you to help you kickstart your legal journey. The society is open to both law and non-law students!
