Mafia Tabletop Society

Welcome to City Mafia Tabletop Society, the university’s designated society for all things mafia or tabletop. We have a variety of events planned across the year, including board games, mafia nights, card games, and roleplaying games (D&D, Call of Cthulhu… etc.).
We have a friendly and welcoming environment, and members of our exec and volunteers are very happy to walk beginners and experts alike through new games.

Join our Whatsapp, Facebook, Discord, Instagram, and Twitter groups for regular updates and games!

When?

Our board game sessions run from 5pm to 10pm on Wednesdays. Feel free to drop in whenever you want to get your fill. Our selection of games range from 10-30min party games to epic war/strategy games that can span hours.

Mafia is held on Tuesdays from 4pm to 9pm. Along with Mafia, we also play similar social deception games such as Secret Hitler, One Night Werewolf, Avalon/Resistance, Two Rooms and a Boom… etc.

What is Mafia?

Mafia is a social party game where players are secretly assigned the role of “Mafia” or “Town”. The Town outnumber the Mafia, however, the Mafia are hidden from the Town and secretly know each other. It is the Town’s objective to find and vote to kill the Mafia before the Mafia kills all of them.
That’s a basic summary, but we explain and walk people through the rules every week, so please don’t be afraid to come along if you’re completely new, it’s a lot of fun!

Roleplaying

We also organise Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) and similar roleplaying games, weekly. If you’re interested in playing one of these, talk to one of the exec at an event, and we’ll get a group going for you! Please also contact us if you’re interested in DMing, whether it be a one-shot or campaign.

Socials

Finally, we also host various socials such as Escape Rooms or Laser tag on a term by term basis. We’ll keep you updated about when these will happen!
