Dear Students

I am pleased to announce that the University have released the exam timetable a short while ago (as previously promised). Due to a number of unforeseen reasons the timetable was likely to be released later than expected, however, I managed to step in and speak with the University on a late Friday afternoon to get this sorted and released for you today.

This is why Student Voice & Representation and your Students’ Union is so important.

All the best for your upcoming exams!

Zain Ismail

The University's statement:

Dear Students,

We are pleased to let you know that the examination timetable for examinations taking place in May & June 2017 has been published on the University’s website and can be found here or you can download them here in Excel.

Please take some time to read it carefully so that you know when and where each of your examinations is being held.  Some examinations will be split across more than one venue and we will be publishing this information shortly so make sure you check our webpage and know which is the right venue and room for you.

This summer the University will be using Exibition Hall 1, The Barbican, as an external venue for some examinations.   If your examinations are to be held there, please make sure you know where it is and how to get there.

Keep a regular check on the Transport for London website so you can plan any changes needed to your journey wherever your examinations are to be held.

If you notice that you have a clash, please contact your School Office as quickly as possible so that the University can work with them to resolve it.  Take some time to make sure you understand the examinations regulations and instructions relating to examinations conduct.  You can find all this information on the webpage.

This year Ramadan falls during the examination period and we want to make sure that we offer support and advice to students who will be fasting.  The University has been working with the Chaplaincy and the Students’ Union to identify the best ways in which we can do this.  We are pleased that we have been able to ensure that there will be no evening examinations this year and we will be shortly publishing some guidance on the Exams Office webpage about how to keep well whilst fasting.

In response to student feedback, we have also been updating our webpage to offer more information on how to prepare for your examinations, manage any stress or anxiety as well as tips on health eating and looking after yourself.  We hope you will find this information useful.  Keep checking our pages to see the updates.

Finally we would like to take this opportunity to wish you the very best of luck and success in your examinations.

Best Wishes,

Joanne Coward (Head of Exams)
