Notice of Election: Society Committee Elections for 2019/20

Notice of Election

Notice is hereby given that elections are to be held for the following positions within every society in City Students’ Union:

Finance Officer

1 per society

Communications Officer

1 per society

There are a total of 321 positions available across the 107 currently affiliated societies.

Nominations

Nominations can be submitted at this page.

Nominations open: Monday 18th March 11am

Nominations close: Friday 29th March 11:59pm

Eligibility

Any student wishing to stand must be a paid, standard member of the society they are wishing to nominate themselves in.

Anyone wishing to nominate themselves must be pursuing a programme of study in the 2019/20 academic year as defined by the University Senate and with a current enrolment record may stand. A programme of study means full-time or part-time study at undergraduate or postgraduate level leading to a University award.

  • It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure their enrolment record is up to date before submitting their nomination form.
  • Students who have decided to opt out of Students’ Union membership are not eligible to stand in any Students’ Union election.
  • Occasional students as defined by Senate or those who are at validated, partnership institutions are not entitled to stand.

Voting

Votes can be submitted at this page. 

Voting opens: Monday 1st April 12am

Voting closes: Friday 12th April 11:59pm

Only paid, standard members of a society can vote.

Memberships will not be available to purchase during the voting period.
