About me

I am keen to drive change and have experience in this within my other roles as a Widening Participation Ambassador and City Outreach University Mentor. Listening to others and working as a team is central to me, demonstrated by being in our Universities Cheerleading team. Improving our experience as Healthcare Students is a priority and foremost to me.

Priority 1

Improving Student Experience:

  • √ Improved collaboration between personal tutors and their students, for example meetings to be held every term
  • √ The option to choose between attending in-person lecture or online lecture.
  • √ For more in-person revision or assignment sessions.

Priority 2

Building a Healthcare Society at City:

  • √ Events organised for social and networking opportunities (Talks, Conferences, Exhibitions, Workshops and Jobfairs)
  • √ Of course, The fun things of being in a society... meet ups, socials, coffee mornings and City Bar events!

Priority 3

Reducing the stigma of “just a student”.

  • √ We are part of the team, refer to us by our name, not “the student”, recognise our contribution. Building students moral courage
  • √ Speaking up when confronted by unprofessional behaviour during placement.
