For an Active Student Union!

Priorities
My name is Hywel (he/they) and I am a GDL student. I arrived at City expecting to just get my qualification and leave as soon as the year was up, but since then I’ve found community through student societies and plan to stay longer. I aim to promote student activities and in particular encourage more postgrads to get involved.
Student Communities & Events (Student Societies and Sports)
To make Student Activities the number 1 focus of the SU. We will achieve this by improving funding, scheduling, campus resources and more for student-led activities

I want to see more postgrads engaging with the wider community. With CV-building so high on many of our lists, I want to encourage postgrads to take the opportunities that are already here and empower us to create our own.
Sustainability
There are so many ways the uni can be more sustainable: energy saving, changing electricity suppliers, removing plastic packaging, less disposable items, carbon conscious construction/refurbishments, etc... Let's lobby for a greener campus!
