A total of 787 Reps have been elected, 546 of which have been trained (69%) over the past 3 weeks. Training included how to use GetHeard@City

Enhanced Student Representation

Ensured there was student representation on the required School Committees

Cost of Living Hub

Cost of Living hub launch event in October saw over 300 students second hub event in November of a similar style saw around 200. both successful in bringing awareness to cost of living support available to students

Mental Health Forum

Delivered a Mental Health Forum to collect views on how the University could better support positive mental health and wellbeing and City

Free CityActive Sessions

We had 15 CityActive sessions every week on in 1st term with half of them being fully attended and atleast one free session per day to help with cost of living - 17 CityActive sessions upcoming in Term 2 - with all being free for the first week of term.

The Great AI Debate

First ever student AI debate took place in December 2023. This was led by the SU but had collaboration with the University. Over 50 students attended. It was hosted by Debate Society and had 4 other societies debate the topic 'what place does AI have in education'. Very engaging, thought provoking and fun event

Society Committee Training

Have trained over 150 society committee members between June and now, covering everything from social media to finance to employability

GetHeard@City

We saw a successful first term using GetHeard@City - in its first few months we engaged with 3,840 students and 137 posts have been made so far. Some wins include changes to the assessments timetable in SST, allowing undergraduate students to book syndicate rooms at Bunhill Row, and introducing women's only classes at CitySport.

 

South Asian Week

The first ever South Asian week celebration at City University came with huge success. The execution of activities run by societies throughout the course of the week was widely received (positively by students).

With the week finishing with a south Asian week fair which had over 250 students in attendance and brought together all the south Asian communities/ society's at city

Spoke to 1863 students over the phone in October and November to check in and ask how things are going at City.
