The Leadership Elections are here and there are various positions that you can run for from paid roles (£23k+ per annum!) such as President of the Students’ Union to voluntary positions such as School Representative Officer.

 

If you are passionate about liberation, we have the role for you from International Students’ Officer, Disabled Students’ Officer, Black and Minority Ethnic Officer, Women’s Officer to Lesbian, Gay Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) Officer.

 

Is the University doing enough to integrate International Students? Do you need more information on employment offering graduate sponsorship for tier 4 students? Personalised Careers Fair that targets your needs? Extra Support for your Assessments? Nominate yourself for International Students’ Officer.

 

Are you currently satisfied with the Wellbeing Services available at City, University of London? If you could improve Disability Support system, how would you do it? We are here to make sure you have the resources to make your voice heard. Nominate yourself for Disabled Students’ Officer.

 

Diversity in the Curriculum, the Attainment Gap, do you feel you are being listened to? We can support you to make sure you are. Reduce the BME Attainment Gap and increase cultural awareness across City University. Nominate yourself for Black and Minority Ethnic Officer.

 

Consent, Free Periods, Sexual Health? Do you feel there is more to be done to empower women? We are here to support and empower you to achieve your goals. Nominate yourself for Women’s Officer.

 

Do you want to build a stronger LGBT+ Community? Take part in Pride in London, A home for every part of London’s LGBT+ community, raise awareness and celebrate together! Nominate yourself for Lesbian, Gay Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) Officer.

 

If your priority is Academic Issues such as Assessment and Feedback and Lecture Capture, you can run for Student Representative Officer (for Cass Business School, City Law School, School of Arts and Social Sciences, School of Health Sciences and School of Mathematics, Computer Sciences and Engineering). As we understand that UG and PG students go through a different experience during their studies, we have two Post Graduate Officer roles, a Post Graduate Research Officer and a Post Graduate Taught Officer.

 

 If you are about to graduate, nominate yourself for one the full-time positions and make some of these issues, our Students’ Union priorities. We have 3 full-time paid positions President of the Students’ Union, Vice-President Education and Vice-President Community and Wellbeing!

If you are successful as a candidate, then you will benefit in a number of ways. Your actions will help to shape the Students’ Union; you will gain employability skills, obtain meeting experience, join a community of students interested in improving things for City students.

Results will be thereafter on the evening of the 6th following completion of any outstanding appeals and disciplinary actions
