Chinese Society

Chinese Students and Scholars Association of City University London (Abbr. CSSA-City) is a non-profit and non-political student society in City University London.

We are the only official Chinese Society in City University London and one of the Subsidiary Associations of CSSA-UK which is the largest Chinese community in United Kingdom. The main missions of our society are to serve the needs of the Chinese students and scholars in City University, and provide opportunities and benefits for them by facilitating the exchange of information between China and the students studying in Britain, and by encouaging cultural exchange between Chinese and people from all over the world.

To achieve our mission, CSSA-City regularly organises social activities, holds information seminars on a variety of topics to promote Chinese culture on camps: 

  • Career Development Seminar
  • Postgraduate Application Seminar
  • Running Man
  • The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow Competition
  • CSSA Membership Card for restaurant discounts

Besides these activities, we also organise several large-scale events with Chinese Societies based in other universities all over UK, including our

  • Annual London Chinese Basketball Competition
  • Annual London Chinese Badminton Competition
  • Annual London Chinese Football Competition
  • Annual Mandarin Debate Competition
  • Chinese New Year Gala
