I came to the Business School to fulfil a long-time dream of getting my master's degree. It took me a while to hone in on the right path, but I knew I'd found it when I read about City's programme in "Innovation, Creativity, and Leadership." Being in my 30s and single, I thought this could be the perfect time to step away from my career and leap into something new...maybe discovering something life-changing in the process.
I've always loved England, having British ancestry and visiting a few times over the years. I got accepted into a couple of North American schools (I'm from Canada) but my friends urged me to listen to my British soul and accept the offer from City. I'm so glad I did. I'm a social butterfly, so while online socialising/classes don't thrill my soul, I've seized the day and kept a positive outlook on it all. As a result, I've met so many interesting people already and I'm looking forward to the memories we'll create together in this history-making year.
My programme cohort encompasses so many different countries and perspectives, which makes for fascinating discussion. I have to say, in-depth discussion is definitely one of my favourite pastimes. (Especially if they happen over tea or wine.) If you happen to see me around or find me in some other way, please introduce yourself - I'd love to get to know more of my classmates at City."
