My Story

When I was a student, I was heavily involved in my SU, and it made me want to provide the same experiences and opportunities for students elsewhere. I felt a sense of belonging and a sense of purpose when I was involved with societies, attended events or spoke with staff there, and it made me want to help others feel that same way.

When beginning my work in SUs, I knew I wanted to make a difference to students. City has a really diverse community of students who are looking to develop and better themselves in some way, so it's a great challenge to try and make a difference to their university experience, and ensure that they feel like they gained something invaluable during their involvement with our activities.

I really enjoy working for an organisation that wants to provide a platform for these students, and I think we're building an SU that is as essential to City students as their academic education.
