The Business and Law Society ('Society') aims to connect students with business leaders, and lawyers from international law firms.

Firstly, our Society provides practical insights into legal topics from a business perspective. Secondly, it aims to raise its members' commercial awareness in areas such as Equity Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Private Equity amongst other topics.

We are also adopting a sector specific approach where we target sectors such as Energy, TMT, and Financial Services in our events. This is an excellent opportunity for students to increase their commercial awareness, and to gain a better understanding as to how laws and regulations impact business transactions.

The Society will provide its members with: - talks by practising City lawyers on legal topics from a business perspective; - access to external talks hosted at Cass Business School in London and networking opportunities with lawyers and business leaders.
