Elimu is defined as ‘education’ in Swahili (The local language in Tanzania). Our moto is ‘educating ME educates YOU’, therefore Mount Elimu is an organization which strives to open minds to the dire circumstances  around the world, as well as to fight to eradicate poverty through education.
 
Our society can broken down into two areas:
1. We will be fundraising to support an orphanage in Tanzania previously set up by Mount Elimu as well as looking towards setting up learning centres and funding children’s education and adults vocational training.
2. We will be holding regular events to raise awareness of world issues in order to inspire the initiative in students to want to make a change.

There will fundraisers, socials, fun and exciting events and networking sessions.

Mount Elimu will provide the foundation for City students to be educated on the needs of others, as well as supporting the education for those in need. Our society will enable you to help make a difference whilst having fun and meeting new people!
