Complaints and Support

Complaints and support

As a Union we understand that some students will feel very strongly about this referendum, and that people will be affected in different ways by the vote happening. In order to support students and to support the referendum taking place there are a number of services and mechanisms in place to ensure students can access help if they need it.

Making a complaint against a campaigner

As this page details any current student at City, University of London can register to become a part of a campaign team in this referendum. Each campaigners / side of the argument must adhere to the Referendum Rules as set out by the Deputy Returning Officer. If someone breaks the rules then any student can submit a complaint until 1 hour after voting closes.

Complaints against a campaigner / campaign side can be made on the following grounds:

  • Failure in good conduct of the referendum.
  • Behaviour and activities of campaigners / lead campaigners.
  • The administration of the referendum.
  • A clear rule break.

All complaints must be submitted by completing this form: https://cityunilondon.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3x8iET5gGDfWl82
